Phased schedule

Facility basis

The Dallas–Fort Worth long-term lease was reported as finalized in July 2026. A lease and phased plan support a concrete planned project; they do not establish construction or commissioned recycling equipment.

Early finishing

Finished-magnet capability is targeted for the first half of 2027, using recycled magnet blocks from the existing UK and Germany supply chain.

Integrated phase

Integrated HPMS and magnet manufacturing are targeted for the second quarter of 2028. Both dates remain forward-looking company targets.

How to read the capacity figures

The hub has multiple phases and material streams. REE Monitor reports recycled magnet output separately from co-products, so the figures are not silently added into one “recycling capacity” total.

Published targets and interpretation
Phase or streamFigureREE Monitor interpretation
Initial integrated phase · Q2 2028 target400 t/a recycled magnets + 278 t/a separate co-productsInitial integrated output targets. The earlier H1 2027 finishing plan uses imported UK/German blocks and has no separately verified 400 t/a capacity.
Full integrated phaseApproximately 1,526 t/a total magnetic productsFull planned combined product output. A magnet-only split is not verified; the earlier 1,048 t/a breakdown is excluded from current capacity charts.
Earlier claim in history941 t/a planned recycled magnet outputRetained as an earlier published claim rather than blended with the later phased figures.
Actual throughputNot publishedThe project is not treated as operating annual production.
Important: co-products are a separate material stream. They should not be added to the recycled magnet output when comparing projects.

Primary evidence and open question

The current primary source is HyProMag USA's 27 July 2026 announcement on the phased Texas Hub. The preceding lease announcement from Mkango provides supporting evidence for the site basis. Together they support a concrete planned project, schedule and staged output targets; they do not establish current commercial throughput.

Open question: will the H1 2027 finishing milestone and Q2 2028 integrated commissioning target remain on schedule, and when will project financing close?

Frequently asked questions about the HyProMag USA hub

What is the current status of the HyProMag USA hub?

The public record classifies the Dallas–Fort Worth project as planned development with a phased finishing and integrated manufacturing plan. It is not presented as operating commercial production.

Are the 2027 and 2028 dates verified output?

No. The early-finishing and integrated-phase dates are forward-looking company targets. They describe planned milestones, not measured throughput or guaranteed material availability.

What material scope does the hub profile cover?

The profile covers end-of-life NdFeB magnets and production scrap converted into recycled magnets and co-products. REE Monitor keeps the output categories separate instead of combining them into one capacity number.
